uncultured form

By sad_infamy_sings on September 25, 2022 7:20 pm

hello energy and wind
and ever spark in an engine
that revs like a wave that paves the way
a bramble to dance and claw through
a fray to brave
are you afraid to take a course
of course you are
i’d be to if i was a
wild-eyed man in slow-dancing storm.
need not warn me of my uncultured form
forlorn

i exit from the wilds
caught with a fire
alight my heart and claws
i got teeth that want to grit
and a voice that wants to yell
????
the rays of light dance around
my uncultured form
warm and dark
alight my heart

thanks! after I recorded the song, I felt really possessed, so I went out into the forest and danced at dusk.

This is forest punk, yes? I hope it is, dark and powerful. Love your voice, particularly in tunes like this where you strain it / stress it without losing composure. This one's great.

I think it is! Though, I'm not sure, I chose that tag because I have used it in the past, and I think the sentiment of the woods/wilderness portrayed in a non-romanticized way is important to me (which is what I think forestpunk does). I was thinking of the same woods where I painted magnolia trees in the spring, the woods that are kind of scary (it's scary in those woods). I still don't really know how to play guitar, but I did something that sounded cool and then the whole song came out of that like it was a thunderstorm, and I felt this feral energy and all that.
