Sea of Corruption (Demo)

Wasn't able to fully complete this track, but this was more of a warm-up anyway.

First released track under my new side project: Guérin. More EDM/DnB-focused. This is just an attempt to get some aggressive sound out of LSDJ, practice some stereo widening in-software, get more comfortable with perc. samples, and work on my mixing/mastering. That last part still clearly needs some help (mixing in LSDJ, through my mixer, and/or through Reaper and Audacity defintely all need help, so and pointers you have would be much appreciated).

Save for the mild reverb from my mixer, and the mixing/mastering in Reaper, this is all 2xLSDJ. That WAV bass's smooth panning in the intro is also all in LSDJ. ;3333333333 I won't tell you my secret, because I gotta start keeping a couple. haha I feel like I'm finally getting really comfortable with this program 2+ years into regularly using it.

I'll have more time next week to get a song with an actual melody (let alone a fully complete song) out. Hopefully.

Dank ba$$$$ bruh!

Echoing Sam&Janxy, that low end is banging

huge!

Thanks you gaiz! ;3

I do love a noise-turned-instrument transition. My only complaint would be that it seems to heavily lack in dynamic range... Everything feels really squished into one area. I'm shit at mixing so I probably just spouted nonsense, but that's the vibe I get haha.
Awesome sound in any case!

I did compress the hell out of it, so I wouldn't doubt you're correct. Still trying to get the handle of mixing/mastering, honestly.

Really like the perc in this

10/10 would love to hear this live

I did notice the compression, but I feel it really fits for this style track. Even listening on my phone, the kick punches super hard. Yet again you have not failed to please me with your tunes heart

I like the aggressive style for you. It's not what I expected out of you, but it's an incredibly pleasant surprise heart I want more.

Thanks! big_smile It helps using samples, but I'm glad the stereo widening sounds good. :3

Cool! I still wanna get a bit more of a cleaner sound to this, but I'm glad it works for this track. big_smile I haven't listened to it on my phone yet, but that's basically what I'm going for. I'm gonna try a DnB song mixed and mastered similarly to this next. >:D

Thanks! big_smile Oh man, all of my songs have been nice and aggressive lately. Can't wait to polish off some of the songs I've been working on before this in the future and release them. Some angry (and some more melancholy) DnB tracks. Wanna use some of the house I make here to supplement that, too. :3

Nice and brooding. Good job, man.

now this right here is a BANGER.

Thanks you two! big_smile

I'll probably miss this next week due to work, but I'm gonna just extend work on this next track over to week three. :3
