Traveled to St. Louis on Friday for a Digital Gnosis show. It was a lot of fun. Driving there was no problem, but on the way back we went through all driving conditions: rain, sleet/snow, heavy snow, and eventually clear. We drove by at least 30 cars that had skidded out off the road, going too fast either due to black ice/hydroplaning. At one point, we avoided a bigger accident on the I-55 by going up Route 66 which had not been plowed at parts, so between the white sky, the flat, sprawling landscapes covered with snow, and then a road dusted at times that it was all white - it felt like the world hadn't finished rendering. Hence the title. Was hoping to make a bit more ambient stuff, but again, so hard to be minimal that I started building more and more.
I'm pretty happy with it. Only took me about 2hrs to write today. Could see an IDM full-lengther come pretty easily outta all these WB2018 tracks at this rate. We'll see!

That must've been pretty surreal, the song conveys that sentiment anyway.
love the grooves, the piece develops in really cool ways
Your description made me think of Fargo. Love the idea of a world that has not finished rendering.
I'm feeling the whiteout. Maybe not ambient, but certainly chill.
