Simple club groove this week, still going on the less is more. There isn't much to this but just trying to let each part have it's space and not fight for attention

Diggin' it! Dark club grooves for sure!

Bouncy! big_smile

Less is more, because you got a real solid bass and kick groove that definitely benefits from some space. Love that growly rhythm sound off to the left soaked in verb. Track's got bounce!

I feel back in the 90s with these iconic drum sounds. The groove is contagious and the layers work well together. I definitely deserves to be longer and includes some stabbing chords or something in that spirit.

You nailed the sound. Could fit any early David Morales set, really late at night...

That buzzing "lofi" pad is really great. How did you get it?

Thanks, David Morales, that works ;-)

The pad, it's pretty standard swell pad in Operator on Ableton, but I've chucked some effects on it, touch of delay, but the main thing is an Auto Filter, but I then mess around with the LFO settings on it in Push (I normally do this as an overdub on the original recording). You can get some very cool and odd effects by messing with the depth and timing on this.
