Been listening to a bunch of MK and also watched a documentary about the Bassline scene so this is pretty influenced by that, experimenting with a big hook in the drop, etc.

Ha ha, that's too funny. My first synth was actually a Yamaha CS1x! I didn't have the Akai, I had a Yamaha A3000 (not as classic).
The documentary is part of a series called Music Nation, it covers UK Garage, Grime, Drum & Bass, it's good and actually very funny at some points
