Comin' Atcha!

By Robroy on January 30, 2022 9:43 pm

I don't know what possessed me, but here's what happened. A genre experiment with a strain of electronic music that will be unfamiliar to anyone who didn't attend often illegal parties in the UK during the late 80's and early 90's. It has few identifiable predecessors and even fewer dependents willing to claim a relation.

When Rave was hardcore and parties were underground.

Think airhorns, breakbeats and euphoric pianos.

Hardcore, you know the score

I was never there, but this makes me wish I was!

100% vibe on this track. Love it

i love your music so much.  i wish i could have attended those raves but i know i'd also be like, really scared smile

As always thanks and really appreciated.

Also I doubt you'd be scared. It was a really interesting time in the UK, as dubbed the 2nd Summer of Love. The late 70s and 80s in the UK was grim, unemployment, lots of violence, social unrest. Then suddenly in 88 House music and raves too off, it's difficult to describe how big and drastic a change it was. Suddenly people that had hated each other where hugging on the dance floor (yes not just the music involved but a big part). The events were inclusive in a very pure way, it really was a special period
