shopping malls in hell

This week is sort of an experiment. Like last week, I chopped up 16 seconds of a song's intro and then a bit from later on and used those sounds as my source. It sounded a bit vapor-wavey to me, in that "you might hear it in a shopping mall in the 80s vibe". So I fed a youtube video of 1 hour of shopping mall ambiance. I set up some tiggers to grab a 16th note sample of the mall sounds and rhythmically delay it each measure. Sort of like there's a random rhythmic microsample that shifts every measure I guess. This is a rough live jam, just triggering the patterns and muting and unmuting things.
It's sort of interesting maybe. Might explore the idea further.
