rain rain fall fall

Messing around with the Octatrack and Digitone again.

This week I sampled the intro to a 70s Japanese tune as the foundation for the track. Added a drum loop and an 808 kick for a hip hop vibe and some vocal cuts. The Digitone does bass, lead, pads, and some little arps. This was all played sort of live by manually triggering patterns, muting and unmuting instruments, etc. I figured out how to set the Octatrack up to trigger pattern changes on the Digitone, so I only had to change patterns on the Octatrack, which was handy. Still pretty new to really using MIDI though.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. I've had the Octatrack for two years now and this is the first time I've felt like I've created a "complete" sounding track with it.

Very chill and relaxing enjoying this so much on my lunch break. Definitely feeling less stressed after this one.

Feels like I'm floating away... Amazing tune, suitably wavey, love the lead line, and that bass is PHAT! heart

Very groovy.  Tasty use of the OT.  Such a weapon that bit of hardware.

wouldnt be a robo tune without that classic chromatic drift 8-| great atmosphere going on here!

Such a pleasant vibe.

I would def listen to this on a rainy day. Love the 70's vibe.

Noticeable improvement in the control of effects on the Digitone compared to your last week. Great samples excerpts as well!

nice chill track, and cool how you put it together.

Great 70s vibe. Love that 808 bass and the glitchy sample triggers.

A+ flutes

Love it! Sample selection is superb with the flutes and the guitar later on!

This is so lush, and a little crooked in all of the right ways. Digging the track man heart smile

Nice composition.

tasteful sample & cutups
