Interlude for Week 14

By roboctopus on April 8, 2012 8:35 pm

This was another rush job.  Spent about an hour recording the parts and about ten minutes mixing it >_<

Anyway, I'm slooooowly working on chip + live instrument album, and this is *maybe* going to be a sort of interlude between more tuneful pieces, which is why it's sort of static as a composition.  I wish the banjo was doubled later on by the DMG, so I might do that in a future mix.

So this is Game Boy, electric guitar, banjo, electric bass, some shaky percussion, and a floor tom.  The electric guitar was played through a low-pass filter with an envelope follower, with the filter cut-off being modulated by an LFO, the speed of which was controlled by a floor pedal.  So it doesn't sound much like a guitar.  Ummmmm...if you're wondering.

I like it.

beautiful!!!

definitely very "deep under the sea fish are having sex". love this! that guitar filter is magical smile
