Defeated and Depressed in Dreamland

By roboctopus on January 20, 2012 7:26 pm

This was a bit of a rush job.  I recorded and uploaded this on my lunch break on Friday because I'm going out of town for the weekend.  It's one Game Boy and LSDJ only.  No time to write and record for live instruments.  I was going for a sort of atmospheric trip-hop kinda thing, but then it turned silly at the end.

nice one robox

awesome range of sounds. at one point i thought a synth was talking

i love the groove smile  i feel like i should be in the shopping mall bonus level where everything is free and i have to take as many things as possible and reach the finish before time runs out.

you say silly, i say spectacular!

arpeggegegegegeiooo

very nice as usual!! smile

Fast becoming one of my fave chiptuners. Good show!

I love when that beat comes in at :44, and that's a really cool sounding lead that starts at :59 too. Awesome track!

Great panning!!  Nice chord run in the middle

I really like it. I'm surprised that you call it a rush job.

This is awesome dude. Fantastic melodies.

Thanks guys!  @bleo I meant that the mood at the end shifted to something lighter and sillier than I had intended.

A good video game track ^^
Not TripHop at all indeed, but really well structured and clean!

you never disappoint smile

This is why I come back ,"

Nice release, the ambience is right and the moody sounds are clinging well together (maybe the first snare should have been a bit more choppy).
Then you change the tempo and it's even better! Well done!
