Well, I like magic, and I like steam engines. Not much else to say about this one.
Anyone remember The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks? That game was made for people like me.
Happy Week 30!

I dont play enough video games, so my closest analog is the train sequence from FF7. That being said, it would have been nice to have this chill track going in the background so I didn't have a heart attack from anxiety. But that's just me and probably why I don't play too many video games
Love the way the melody for the track is subtle and understated but still really present. I hope that makes sense. Anyway, the word magitech makes me picture this as a soundtrack to a long journey across a world map in magitek armor.
Magic and steam! Reminds me of FFVI; used to play that in the good ol’ days Super chill and an awesome composition!!!
What an iconic combo. That airy pad coming in at the end works really well as the "magic" part of it. Nice track
Magitech and steam remind me of FFVI as well, one of my favourite games ever -- never played Spirit Tracks though. This song is beautiful, great mix of large classical sounds and some very tight modern elements.
Nice how you give the track so much room and reverb to breath and open up. Well done.
Those chugging piano chords. So cool! The percussion arrangement suits this track perfectly.
The percussion is very good. It's both subtle, organic and really defines the vibe of the track. I like also what sounds like a subtle acoustic guitar in the background layers, that really works well as a background for the piano melodies.
Wonderful composition. I'd like to think the magitech steam engine produces chords like these instead of the sounds our trains make.
love the guitar rhythm, and those chord stabs are great as well, good work!
Nothing beats the awesome power of steam. Cool track this week man, the instrumentation works really well. Those synth pads you used have such a warm sound to them. I like that you used that repeating quarter note only melody again at the end. Definitely a cool idea.

Thanks so much everybody! I was hoping this one would come together okay.

Digging the love the Final Fantasy music in these comments! It's been a big influence on me musically, even though I've never beaten a FF game in my life. VI rocks, and VII's a classic, but the XIII trilogy is my favorite by far. (I'm also really enjoying FFVII Remake these days.)
I remember really liking Spirit Tracks! It's been a while, but the music being dynamic when you are on the train really stuck with me, I wish more games would have those kind of fine touches! It's one of the reasons I want to see a revival of trackers in games!
We've got to petition Nintendo to make a sequel. The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Trackers, anyone?

Thanks! I just try to keep chugging along.

Sure does. And it runs off of the power of encouraging comments and critical feedback. Thanks for keeping the train running!
Beautiful orchestra hits and percussion! Love how this builds but keeps some nice space to let the instruments breath.
Can't believe I missed this one last week. The percussion is spot on, the rhythm is very much like locomotive motion. The dynamics of the violins doing that rhythmic pulse on the beat and gradually playing quieter in between adds to the overall vibe too. I'm super into this because it sound exactly like what the title suggests which is a rare thing to do.
