Weeklybeats is a 52 week long music project in which artists compose and publicly release 1 song a week for the entire year.

Aaah I've always loved that sound but never knew the name of the instrument (cimbalom), I kept thinking that sound was achieved by someone playing mallets on an open piano's strings, I guess I wasn't too far off! Excellent framing with the bass and the voices in the back, really makes the melody pop. That suddem buildup at the end gave me chills, A+ would imagine a trailer in my head while listening again!

Yes, it's so distinct once you know that sound. The director specifically wanted the cimbalom so I able to get him to buy me a nice cimbalom sound library on top of my fee. Pretty chuffed with that . So for any future film makers wanting cimbalom, I'm your man. Hehe.
