You nailed it there.  All of CL instruments are exactly that.  Forces you to explore and coax sounds/rhythms out of the instrument.  Very interesting creations.

Cheers!  You can order them straight from his website.  They're not the cheapest instruments unfortunately but they're very unique and interesting.  Even just have a read of a manual.  They sort of help you..... sort of.  hehe.
