One take performance, mostly on the Analog Rytm with a touch of Octatrack. Processed through the Boum and Microcosm.

Congrats on everyone involved in WB and thanks for all the amazing feedback throughout the year!

Is there guitar in the mix or all synth? Great feedback and distortion textures. Nice soundtrack material!  Happy New Year!

The track was taking a while to load up for me for some reason so I started reading something while I waited with my headphones on.  Then when it suddenly started it made me jump.  smile  Really cool distortion on this.  I always get pretty strong visuals from your work and in this one I feel like I'm in the middle of a raging sand storm on some desert planet.  Have a great 2023!

No guitars at all.  Nearly all Analog Rytm using a recorded sample of itself where I had set up a sound that has controlled feedback.  I then played that sample as a melody in real time using the Rytm using the trigger pads with aftertouch.  There may have been some distortion from the Boum pedal which is a great end of chain pedal.  Compressor/distortion/filter and it's pure analog.  The Microcosm adding the extra textures and subtle loop.  And likewise!

That's great to hear as I like my music to take people on some kind of journey, whether they like that particular journey or not. big_smile Thanks for the great feedback as always and likewise!

I love how this captures the feel of 'screaming through the air' so perfectly. Raw beauty! heart

Thanking you kind sir and likewise!  smile

Great one to finish the year, always enjoy that each week I will get unique sounds from your tracks, no presets here!  Thanks for sharing those biking videos earlier this year, it’s your Summer right now so hope you have time to hit the trails.  My biking season got cut short, fractured my arm and tore my rotator cuff back in September going into a tree, but it’s slowly getting better, hopefully be back out soon, have a great 2023.

Thanks mate and yep, definitely no preset.  Haha.  The listening/comments are always appreciated smile

Funny you mentioned the bikes as I JUST bought a new full face helmet as I'm heading over to Maydena in Tasmania in a couple of weeks.  Stoked!  Check it out if you haven't as it's primo.  Sorry to hear about your crash!  Hope you're back on the bike soon.  It's never good when you hit a tree as those thing don't budge.

Summer in full effect here now and this weekend is a hot one so no riding but luckily I got out for a DH session a few days ago..  35 and 38 this weekend so I got out for an E-skate with a couple of friends early this morning before the heat and will head down to the beach later.

Have a great New Years too and hopefully hear from you in 2024!

That was a great track, to close a great year in music! Thanks for sharing your great music! I wish I could pass by Australia, I would have loved to see the live where you play with the synthesizers and your friend plays the shamisen. That must be so perfect! Have a great year 2023 and let's see you again in 2024!

Your tracks are always full of copious amounts of ear candy smile  Those first 2 notes immediately create tension and goosebumps.  Really cool manipulation of that sample.  It's sounds so organic.  I hope you have an awesome 2023!  Happy New Year!
