Weeklybeats is a 52 week long music project in which artists compose and publicly release 1 song a week for the entire year.
Starting January 1st 2024 GMT each participant will have one week to upload one finished composition. Any style of music or selection of instruments are welcomed and encouraged.

All sounds and ideas were written on the OP-1 and then mixed in Ableton Live. No other sounds were used.
This piece came about from a monthly Discord challenge where for this month you have to write a piece of music using a piece of 'bad gear' that was reviewed on the Youtube channel of the same name.

Ah yais i am familiar with it's bad-ace-ness. Very fitting title especially on that midrange sound and how it flitters in and out. The deep kicks fit in so nicely with the comfortable haze

I think you proved that bad gear can make good music too. ( aka a good musician can make good music with everything)
lots of amazing sounds here, I could never get the Op-1 to sounds quite like this, really cool to hear. I think generally speaking it's a limited machine but working within those limitations people can wring out some incredible stuff out of it

Thanks! I've had this thing for many years and nearly always create my own sounds on it. It's a great little synth! I'm struggling to justify upgrading to the newer version as it's so much more expensive!!
