Reprieve From the Outside World

Here's another recording I've utilised from a young student of mine. He'd be around 7-8 years old and is diagnosed with a gamut of various behaviour issues. He loves his guitar lessons though and music in general so I've also taught him piano for when he forgets his guitar. This features a piano recording I did with him.
It was a winters day with heavy rains and other children playing nearby so all the 'lofi' noise is the rain, wind and the odd child playing. It was also recorded via the internal speaker of my laptop so some extra texture also.
The piano is totally improvised by this student and we'd been learning chord and interval shapes so it captures such a musical quality. I was impressed with his restraint and listening because a year ago there would have been chaotic random hits etc so much improvement and so cool to see/hear.
The recording was under a minute so I recorded it into my OP-1 Field tape machine, slowed it to half speed with a bit of reverb. I then mixed that back into the original recording, applied a touch of delay to the original recording and looped it twice to match the half speed tape version.
