Boiling the Black Blood

By rdomain on January 3, 2024 5:56 am

A dark start to the new year.  All hardware excluding the voices (Mysteria).

Pulsar 23/Lyra 8/Sherman Filterbank/H9 Max for main drone and percussion. One take.
Ibanez 5 string bass/Sherman Filterbank/H9 Max for bass hits and solo section.

Recorded and mixed in Ableton Live.

This gets so deliciously crunchy and deep!

subbed!

yea this atmosphere is so chilling - incredible sound design work!

Happy 2024 rdomain!

Wow that is such a dark track! This sounds like the aftermath of a war on a distant planet, with the sky darkened by the smoke of explosions, electric thunderstorms, and dark seas moved by the storms in the atmosphere. The perfect soundtrack for a dark movie, I loved it!

Oh that is daaaaarrrrrkkkk.  Great stereo imaging.  Incredible textures and distortion without being distortion.  It's like the opening track off a dark prog metal album...

Awesome!

the voices keep chasing me but i can't run away

Very very cool. Really builds an atmosphere

juicy!

I'm a sucker for those dark abrasive tones and the dun_dun pulse is pure ear candy.  Nice to see you back, happy 2024!

Damn. Fantastic texture.

doomed to wander eternally after hearing this track heart

heavyyy -- this track would feel right at home in Devil Daggers / Hyper Demon

Great stuff. Love the whispering too!

So interesting, I would love to learn how to make sounds like these smile smile Thank you!!

Intense trip, I like the subtle textures underneath like the voices.

this really sounds like the title!

I was completely drown in the drones and textures. Would have loved it to stayed longer. The piece finished just as I was getting into trance! More please :-)

Thank you so much for all the listens and positive replies on such a dark track.  smile
Will try and tag you in a reply if the site can get the 'reply' button back!

Cheers!

This is dark in all the right places heart

Awesome and huge. I love all the deliciously varied textures.

An intense ambient tensionscape like this feels like the soundtrack to a grandiose and evocative sci fi film that was never made

deeply atmospheric, love it

Thank you!
