A Quiet Morning's Coffee

I was inspired by a video of someone making generative music using pigeons pecking at a contact mic. I created my own using a hot chocolate tin and a stick on acoustic guitar pickup. The rain audio is being process to created gate and pitch info for the piano. The DIY tin contact mic didn't work so well, but I set it up so each gate signal played two or thee notes that were then sent to a guitar sample. I created an audio sample of the guitar for two octaves of the F Major pentatonic scale and had each note randomized to make chords. The double bass is a long loop to keep it some what grounded. I am once again reminded I need to up my field recording set up so I can make more stuff like this.
