Thieves & Sellers

By RawTicks on April 24, 2014 10:24 pm

I had much fun doing a hiphop track a couple of weeks ago, so I decided to go that way again this week. 7/4 and 4/4 were used. It went really smoothly, and I finished it up quite faster than what I'm used to. Still trying out things with the mix. I need to find somebody who can spit lyrics on the next beat.

Definitely get someone to spit some rhymes over the top of that.  Will set the track off big time.  Sounding good regardless!

Ya I started to and I don't even rap. Love the funky synth and the mystery strings.

Loopy. Nice use of strings -- not what I was expecting.

if you want someone to rap on top of your next one just give me a theme/ideas. check out my typical geek track (granted i wanted to sound dull it in) for my writing style

Yeah I definitely could "hear" the rapper on top of that in my head.  Nonetheless it works as a standalone track.  The string sound was really cool and contrasted nicely with the other synth part.

Dope track, love the mix of hip hop and orchestral sounds, I imagine del or kool Keith rhyming on top of this

Orchestra stuff is great when used right, excellent work, and full of surprise

This is great--unexpected time signature, and it works perfectly!

That electric piano is very effective at keeping the sound moving and grooving.
