Surely, the title says it all(...but additionally, i made a track on my polyend tracker, then output the stems to my top-secret MaxMSP morphing-spectral-sacrilege-thingie, then all back in Logic for edit, mixdown, and master.. also tried to make this track in 5/4, with pattern-length of 30 steps, but the tracker likes to default to 32 steps for each new pattern, i felt it was fighting me, so i went with it a little, made some patterns in a 5/4 feel, but then gradually let it sway me towards a more 4/4 feel... then confused me more... but then brought it back, but like... brung it back raw... a funky/nasty kinda RAW lol )...
...but more importantly it is worth mentioning that i'm having fun with my recent acquisition of a dustcover fit just for the polyend tracker. i am keeping the dust cover free of dust! (and the polyendtracker too)
there hath been temporary smudges of fingerprints now and again, but i hath most astutely attended to said smudges with a nice lint-free cloth(the kind of cloth that makes you wanna 'do' stuff with it, something i could describe no better than as a 'DoRag'), wiping the smudges in a circular motion as somehow this seems to remove oils and dirt better (more smudge-free), rather than straight across the dustcover vertically or horizontally.
and yes! most of this description is formed to serve as tribute to the dustcover, and the general feeling of taking cover from the dust that can settle too quickly upon all our souls if we do not remain vigilant!O_o!
polyend hath imbued said dustcover with magical spirits and good vibes which make you feel warm and good and smooth within, like a fancy cream or lotion for your insides... and with their grand foresight they saw far into the future, to glean through all the haze they encountered there whilst staring across both the bliss and damnation of all eternity, forthwith, that creating such a handy shield against the elements would be the sole reason for the past couple weeks' worth of my music... (perhaps even of ..my life! yikes .. no wait, that would be an exaggeration: i certainly would've lived on, no matter what, regardless of the dustcover, though the vibrancy with which i pursued my life, might've been dimmed down a bit, as if... weighted or oppressed.. by a barely-seen-yet-heavily-felt layer of.. dust neutral).

all hail the dustcover! tis the inspiration both behind and affront all inspiration! tis the dust of which dreams are made of smile
(i also enjoy the polyendtracker as well... i like the jog wheel especially, so many tasks are sped up when i remember to use the wheelie-dealie, i wish the tracker could output/run higher than 44.1k, and also that it had less clicks and pops when you automate the filters and other effects' changes.. but i am content enough with the tracker, i can imagine the M8 is far better, but i'm tired of squinting at small screens, and these are mere material things, they matter not once we die! for the true stuff of music comes from a spiritual realm, found best by keeping your life free of attachments, your mind clear of thoughts, your heart open to feelings... and your anus relaxed(say-wat-now?)..
yes, the polyendtracker has the boomer-style interface my feeble eyes require: so much real-estate to exploit! god-bless america! (what's that? polyend is not from america, you say? silence you! 'Mmrrrca!), i think if i remember correctly, i have to close off one final layer of parentheses so there you go->)

best enjoyed in some form of stereo(with a headphone-like level of immersion),
and with MAD mad bass,
and most all,
Loud,
Very
VERY LOUD! big_smile

I'm surprised you kept the polyend now that you have the dust cover!

I'm so with you on the Tracker. They took a keyboard and mouse, turned it into gummy pads and a jog wheel, and somehow it’s so much better! Magical even.

Or magical to hear you play it, anyway. I can never really find my way with samples, but you make them sing! There were 5 times listening to this that I'm, like, “Whoa, what was that sound?” And that’s five more times than with most tracks. And so much of the (small “t”) tracker music I hear is so on the grid. I love the way you’re pushing away from that here, even if it is fighting you.

so much gear so little time, I have to stop even though the polyend seems right up my alley. Lovely track as always.

Between this week and last week it seems that dustcover has been highly inspirational!  More insane beats and sweet textures galore.

I really like this weird experimental effort you spend into this song. there are so many things to discover.
I give you a little hint: a regulat towel works very well as a dustcover too.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreakbeat!

Excellent beats and grittiness in tone.  I like how the main synth gets lil moments to breathe above the machine gunnery of beatz smile

good healthly brain teasing madness, I listened fairly loud and with good bass, so check and check, yesss, smiling at some of this glitch!  I had that tracker for a while, had some fun, but eventually sold it, sometimes wish I hadn't.

Wow that rhythm is melting my brain. Very cool soundscape, with the glitch and the weird breakbeat. Very cool.

Effing nice. love that cacophony of breaks and trippy spectral fx.

I super dig this, I particularly love that melody line around the beginning at 0:30

Polyend Tracker you say? I have one also and would love an excuse to get it out of its decksaver plastic sometime... smile

Really love the "would never guess polyend tracker" sound design here, god bless your sacrilege.

Love reading about the process. Good to hear you've been keeping the dust cover in good condition. Love the way the groove starts to lock in around 40 seconds or so, and the later excursion into scatter micropercussive expressions with a psych rock kind of smear. The back and forth between the two notes around 2:30. A really enjoyable listen.
