Another run to the finish line, all done this afternoon/evening. This thing has become my sunday challenge, either I'm a terrible procrastinator or life gets in the way of music making, still, forcing myself to get things done quickly at the last minute has been good for me so far.

woo! that kick drum sounds so awesome. how did you get it to stand out so nicely? did you do much compression/mastering on this piece?
Yeah, there's two kicks, the first one is ducking the pads from my dw8000 and the second one (with less low end) is just mixed quite loud and then the whole mix is running through a custom mastering/compression rack in ableton.
Those dw8000 pads are lovely. Nice complement to my overcast morning.
I was in a rush to finish mine this week as well, I wish that strategy worked for me as well it's working for you. You turned out another good track this week, keep it up!
