I recently acquired an Edge, and this is from one of the first sessions I had with it.

All the sounds are from the Edge itself, with the main track being an 8 minute long improvisation as I tried to get a feel for the hardware and understand what all the knobs and switches do.

If you have the patience to wait until the 4-minute mark, you'll find my personal favorite. I do not remember which switch I flipped there, but I love the change it made.

The possibilities with this machine seem very broad.

This is my first time hearing (and hearing of) the Edge, but after reading your description I'm not clear how it works—if the "main track" is an 8-minute long improvisation, are all the parts improvised separately and mixed together later or do they all simultaneously on the sequencer?

Hope you find the 4:00 mystery switch; it sounded pretty cool

Yeah, I suppose the description isn't very clear. You're right that the different parts are recorded separately and then mixed together in the DAW, and on top of that is the one take 8-minute part.
