sleepy deficit

By Q-Rosh on March 27, 2022 7:53 pm

It took me sunday afternoon to put this little tune together. It is based on a 4-track guitarloop that is running through my pedals. I mixed variations and different moments of this 45 minute-jam and tried to concentrate the essence into 5 minutes. I am glad I could find a way to succeed, even I had a big lack of sleep and had been working in the morning. The mood of this track is probably my reaction to the madness of today and the whole last week. With best regards.

There's a dreamy quality to this, but a lot of the textures I hear also give me a feeling of liquid.  It's not exactly like I'm underwater, but more as if I'm made of liquid and just flowing.  It's a cool headspace to occupy.

dreamy like lying in bed but then also the sequency/arp-y tracks like the pesky thoughts that will not let you sleep!

Lots of animal like textures and I love it when it all subsides for a moment too.  Lovely.

Dreamy and wandering in all the ways I like. Really enjoy the soundscapes you make with your guitar, I'm always impressed.

Yes CosmicCairns captured that liquid feeling perfectly. It's like colored liquid color with a lot of different hues and colors. I like how all the tracks you make are so organic and have a strong dreamy quality.

If you keep quiet and listen to this beautiful soundtrack, you can see so many details of what's happening inside the aquarium

Sweet- the guitar is perfect, really works with the atmosphere. Also dig the sample and hold stuff a lot in this

super cool textures and atmosphere! I couldn't tell what was going on except there was some reverse sound in there, and harmonies that go impossibly deep. Then I read the description, that's a fascinating process smile  thanks for sharing!
it has a generative quality to it, like it could go on forever.

So relaxing, def a track to return to and relax to fav

Such a beautiful and serene atmosphere in this.  From the main guitar to the verb it just has this "slow down life" feel to it.  I like how the first half melts into the next and then returns towards the end.  Excellent work.

I love these textures and the guitar. There's a very liquid feel. I find working while sleep deprived can yield some interesting results. And the fact that you edited this down from 45 minutes is really impressive. Nice work, Q-Rosh!

I absolutely love the organic quality that your tracks have. It's so soothing, I feel like I'm listening to long grass in the wind and sun as scattered clouds race overhead. This piece is beautiful.

The title and feel of this one feels very appropriate since I am currently experiencing sleep deficit. I enjoyed that subtle guitar melody that comes in around the 1:00 minute mark. It has a really nice grounding effect after the previous textures which give a drifting feeling. It is quite a soothing piece.

A journey through the mind.

Very orchestral. Bigger than a 4-track! I like the bubbly organic sounding elements. All the guitar tone and surrounding pads have a soft fuzz or distortion that is very pleasing.

a drift, gazing at the sky and being comfortable in the vastness that surrounds us. Lovely!

Flows like magic and the pacing of everything is flawless. Remarkable work!

this is lovely. I totally hear the quiet, persistent night rhythms and the pink shards of dreams shining through a murky layer of consciousness, so close but so far away. the middle and end are like flying through sunset clouds into the stars

I hope you were able to get some good sleep.

This is a beautiful arrangement, a perfectly natural blend of acoustic and electronic sounds and processes.

I wanted to drift away to this, I was doing some work on the computer, and this helped me focus, and made me feel good. Another lovely creation, thank you. Sleep is the best.

You're really good at building these atmospheric tracks man haha
