particle mood

The main guitarloop has a crazy 15/4 messure. This made it even more difficult for me, as a non-drummer, to play halfway to the right beat. If you could ignore that, I would be happy. I was experimenting with various microphone-positions, to achieve a nice roomy feeling for the drumset, which I didn`t play for a long long time. The reverb is coming from an old AKG springreverb, I was using in an additional AUX-bus. There are a bunch of cello-layers, that are nearly not recognizable. I used effectpedals for the guitar and a pianet M for the bassline.

As a fellow non-drummer, it's easy for me to ignore and tempo flaws and just focus on the cool sounds.  As a cello player I think I can pick out a little bit of cello sounds in there along with some stuff I think might be cello with heavy effects on it but I'm not 100% sure.  If anything the odd tempo gives it a bit of a free jazz feel or something with a bit of a dreamy vibe on top.

I like the mood of this track a lot.

Sweet vibes! I’m also not a drummer, but I think the drums work well. Definitely picking up the cool spring reverb too smile

You got a great sound on the drum. The hihat at the beginning was very clear. This is a cool relaxing track.

Nice arps and sound design big_smile

The drums sound really cool, especially with how the snare reverb spreads out.  I couldn't even try to count the 15 lol.  Too much coffee today!   A nice relaxing track with that guitar line.

This has a great feel and mood. Great guitar and pads and textures as usual. I couldn't pick out cello, but its part of that a lush base of pads happening under there. 15/4 measure, wild! Yeah easy enough to overlook that, I think I heard a bit of that timing stuff. So cool you played the drums live, I often don't do that due to all the work with setting up mics (and my lack mics) and getting good sound. Nice1

Wow lots going on in this track.  I couldn't get my head around the 15/4.  Drums sound good especially with that reverb.  Cool track!

Great blend of sounds, drums sound snappy and warm with the reverb, laid back track to enjoy a beer to on a lazy day.

Very nice feel to this one and the looping guitar part is cool.  Not exactly 15/4 technically but it does add up to that when counting quarter notes.  Makes the loop float nicely through the piece.

Nice.

Thanks you, nice to be honored as as a free jazz drummer. the cello tracks were covered in tons of reverb. they are more like a pale cloud. You can`t hear them, but only feel them.

Thank you very much. I am glad this captured your attention.
Btw, the same spring reverb box AKG BX20, I found on the bulk-garbage and used for the drums in here, is for sale on ebay in Japan for more than 3500$. Crazy.

Nice track, I want to float in a swimming pool listening to this one.
