lonely star

Instead of making another 10 minutes song, I reduced the material into a 3 minute something. The best coincidence ever was, I found an older experimental drumrecording with an AKG reverb on board, that had exact the same time measure (108.63) as the guitarloop. So it was easy to combine the two recordings, even though my drumming is worse than a no go. To colour the track I played two OP-1 tracks straight via USB-C cable into the imac. Thanks for the new firmware. This saved a lot of time.

This has a really epic feel to it.  The guitar shimmer in a magical way.

108.63 - it's quite a coincidence there that you have two samples sharing that very random number to the second digit! What are these laser like sounds, like around 1:51? Are these the OP-1?

I liked the raw drums, that brings some organic realness! I love the guitar layer as well.

the only reason could have been, that I used another loop with the same speed on the earphone, when I was recording. the EHX-Looper creates those crazy random time measures, when adjusting the speedknob. the lasersynth is the hidden synthpatch "iter", that came with the latest firmware. thanks for listening.

serioulsy into the loose and raw drum recording!! and of course the guitar smile What do you mean you played two OP-1 tracks to add color?

I used the Op-1 like a external piano and made a melotron and synth track underneath. No loop.

I have missed listening to your tracks. This has a great drifting feel to it that I really like. I also love the effect you create at the 2:12 mark.

I love your music and am extremely partial / in love with the last few. I got to this last night, and then just listened to it on loop for a while. Absolutely love the tremolo textures. Seems there's something affirming about this, should try to channel (or invent!) some of the pensive positivity that you seem to have ever so effortlessly in a lot of your music. heart

Another very relaxing piece of music, agree with ilzxc above, you have a great talent at creating pleasing textures and tones with your music.

I can see the star in the sky now, feel like I'm soaring towards it, carried on the guitar line. Some super nice guitar licks thrown in the journey for some fire.  And your great textures as usual. Great find on the old recording, getting great sounds from the OP-1 too. Nice one!

this sounds really good, really amazing atmosphere

Always such beautiful and inspiring guitars.  The glitched parts add a nice touch to the pace as well.  Well done!
