historical weekend

I have already finished another OP1 song for the next week, but to witness this weeks demonstration for freedom in Berlin, I feel not like coming out with something trivial like that. I`ve been watching the scenes on live streams, following the people everywhere and their struggle with the police authority. The crowd behaved incredibly peaceful. Even though the police was acting shameful, the people implored them, to change the sides and start to join in and remonstrate. There were a lot of good speeches, but this one here seems to me the most important one since the last 100 years. I want to thank Robert F Kennedy Jr. for coming to Berlin and supporting the demonstration and the people. What me forced to upload this "song", was the fact, that none of our mainstream media channels did even notice this accurate and historical speech. His name and the respect for John F Kennedy, who said "Ich bin ein Berliner" in 1963, must have been too much for them.
I just play one instrument in one take, with mistakes and a nice little melody.

I've been so overwhelmed with all the craziness going on in the news here in America that I wasn't aware that demonstrations were happening in Berlin also.  Thanks for raising my awareness.  The whole world feels like it's in turmoil right now.  The sitar blends well with the speech.  It seems like it might be a completely different vibe, but it works.

very interesting to hear your impressions about the demonstration. like last month, the media was full of reports about neo-nazis and right wing fascists dominating the event. those reports were the reason for me to have a personal look this time. i have been to quite a number of demos in my lifetime and this was one of the most peaceful and hippiesque ones i've ever attended. the media reports are mostly biased, if not flat out lying. still, the media tries to aggrivate people and it seems to work. i rarely saw so much hate and prejustices against participiants of a demonstration.

Yes, thanks for raising awareness, I hadn't heard about those in Berlin yet either. Uprising everywhere. Time for good discussion and hopefully positive change. Great idea to make this track. I'm enjoying the speech, and the sitar is a great accompaniment. Demonstrations are very inspiring for art I think. I gotta go read up on some news about Berlin now!
