crumbling away

By Q-Rosh on July 26, 2020 10:06 am

Considering the situation, that we are NOT returning to an eased normality in daily life, because the majority of the people is still fearing to be infected by the virus, which is currently and evidently overblown in my opinion. They keep on consolidating their safety precautions and protective measurements, without bringing their blind obedience into question. I am increasingly missing the times, when interpersonal contacts and relationships had been free from distrust, trepidation and anxiety. This scenario is well-controlled by the influence of mass media and obscure politics. So I try to bear the remembrance of eased times, but this feeling seems to get weaker and crumbles away. And this makes me infinitely sad.

I think it's going to be a while before things return to any semblance of normal.  It's hard to gauge how things are, but I feel we could have done a lot better job at least here in America of responding to it in the first place.  The inconsistent messaging we've received has not made it easy to feel relaxed or trustful of the situation.  Your track does a good job of evoking the feeling of warm nostalgia that is slowly falling apart.  I like the guitar melody that kind of underlies everything.

There's something about the second half of this track I like a lot. Everything comes together in a way that feels wistful and nostalgic, like lost dreams floating away on the breeze.

I like the drone like layers the guitar is hovering above. Choirs, brasses, strings, some static like sounds. Some inverted samples too maybe? This is all very organic. I like when things dissipate and clarify from 2:25 and left with the guitar and some simple background sounds.

I am definitely looking forward to going back to normal and tasting freedom again!

Rich and layered texture as usual. This one makes me think of empty post apocalyptic towns, it has that kind of loneliness to it. I agree, the second half especially is beautiful.

Your tracks have some amazing textures and atmosphere to them, this one is no exception. There's a sound in here that sounds like something getting sucked into a vacuum, I don't even know how to describe it but it's really cool. Also the guitars are beautiful as well as your description. Damn, good job this week.

Loving that second part. The entire track definitely evokes the feeling of crumbling away. Nice work and hopefully we make it through this crisis soon.

Gorgeous. This is really the sound of the times. Unfortunately I think the way out is through - we have to find some kind of solidarity and do whatever it takes to beat this stupid virus.

Super cool sounds and awesome transitions!  Had to listen a few times to pick up on everything that's going on...there's a lot to take in.  Very nice work

This track comes together in two parts. The opening feels like scenes are playing out, while the second is the effect it creates on the viewer, to be kind of removed, or pushed back into a pensive, contemplative state. Desiring something different from what it is. That's what I see when I hear this.
I love the guitar work that blends the pieces together as the main constant. You craft an atmosphere with each moving part coming together masterfully.

A good track for the times. Guitar work splendid as usual, love the atomosphere in background. Felt the tension, then release and introspection, and tome me a hopeful sound in the second half. We'll get through!

This song sounds like an amazing representation of the mass craziness. Great job.

Love the swirling guitars and I think I hear a saxophone?  Or it's a pedal effect but still really cool sound.  I like how the intro melts away into the main guitar line.  Very mogwai with that transition smile  Definitely a good representation of this crazy year. Excellent work!

Nice rich layers. Lots of conflicting feelings and tension in the music but it all seems to come together. Th guitar rising slowly in the second half is a good contrast to the chaotic elements. Very pretty melody too.

Agree with all your comments, we are a social species and I worry about the mental health implications of all these changes, in particular with young children.  Love how this one progresses and transitions, do get the feeling of things crumbling or drifting away, yet I do hear some solace and hope in the music.

Yes, this situation is very vague, no decision maker really has a clue, without bringing their blind obedience into question.

Oh mann hab ich was vepasst?
Ja dich!!! immer noch ein wahnsinns Drone mit ultrageiler Auflösung.

Oh man did I miss something?
Yes you!!! still an amazing drone with an ultra-cool resolution.

I would like to vote for heavily effected clarinets.
