brown sauce

By Q-Rosh on December 17, 2022 9:30 pm

it is time to make the preparations for the upcoming time. the most important thing for me is the dinner, we always have in the holy night. every year, since always, we eat a traditional meal from Poland, with potatos, Sauerkraut, sausages and the typical brown sauce. it is a lot of work to make the sauce and it has to be done 2 days before. the christmassauce develops the typical taste while standing and waiting to be eaten. the plenty of ingredients (cookies, beer, lemons, mirepoix, flour, fishspice and other tricks) have a biochemical reaction in this pause. why do I write this? it could have influenced my music, because I wanted to be in the right mood to start with the making of this traditional food. here I also merged a mingle-mangle of different things into a crazy brew. I wish you a peaceful time.

That is some tasty sauce.  There are a lot of different ingredients to sort through.  I particularly liked the sound that I can only describe as a church choir run through a blender.

Enjoyably weird track and extremely delightful description and tradition. My partner is playing either the Machinarium or Samorost soundtrack in the other room and it's like I'm listening to mashed potatoes and gravy. Quite a holiday treat! Going to make some sauce now!

I can relate to that sauce. I think the same process should be applied when making tracks. Leaving the track pause for a couple of days, as it marinates, as the brain half forgets it and can rediscover it, and can then take it to the next phase of its evolution.

Beautiful track full of delicious textures. Because of the description of food, the middle section sounds like a soup slowly bubbling. The whole track is warm and welcoming, getting ready for a nice homely holiday time. Even the intro with its chants sounds like a very old tape of a holiday cartoon.

Good luck with the christmassauce!

love the progression around 3.15 so soothing! It sounds very tasty what you're describing, wish I had that when I was in Poland this summer.

that meal sounds amazing & this song is a wonderful vibe
hope you and your loved ones are stayin' cozy this winter season!
what is your brown sauce called in Polish - i tried to look it up but i'm not seeing one like you describe
i did see are really yummy sounding polish sauce with caraway seeds - yum...
i love that reactions happen in the pause - that seems like good life advice

And a delicious brew at that. If this track is anything to go by, I bet it'll be a lovely meal.
Happy holidays! big_smile

Yeah that sauce sounds crazy and amazing, like the music. The vibe you capture in this track is enchanting, theres a real warmth to it and those flourishes of glitches and beat at the end fit in surprisingly well. What a fun mix of elements.

Thank you very much!!!
for those who want to know more about the sauce, I found someone, who makes it amost the same way I do.

thick and bubbly, a juicy concoction that feels immersed in satiety(i literally feel a warm feeling in my stomach as i'm listening to this) heart

aetheric dreaminess, lost in the sauce.

Mmm, tasty indeed. A holiday traditional festive sound in the beginning I could picture listening to while waking up by a fire. Then this changes into a really lovely space. Captures some bubbling saucy sounds but becomes something more as it goes. A true journey, good one!

That sounds like a lot of work and a peculiar list of ingredients, I'm mildly curious to say the least
The song, at least, is tasty

The warble and soft distortion of sounds mixing do form a tasty sonic stew. You're a master chef of atmosphere!  Lovely swells brewing around 4:15. The guitars towards the end are a beautiful soft landing. Merry Christmas!

Very nice vibe with the reversed vocal/choir like samples, as always enjoy how the track always leads somewhere else, by 2:00 it's a completely different entity, dubby spacey feel to it, thanks for the information on the brown sauce, nice to learn about other cultures and traditions.

just now hearing this one. wow wow wow beauty

I can def appreciate your cooking analogy.  This is a beautiful journey of a track.  So many bits that catch your attention and so much wonderful ambient atmosphere.  The guitars in the outro is as they say, *chefs kiss*
