bombastic climax

By Q-Rosh on January 16, 2022 12:17 pm

Another old Drumtraks beat, together with a 8bit basstone I sampled on my oberheim prommer those days. This week I added a fresh lofi piano recording, MS20, Juno60 and a lot of (maybe too many) pedaleffects. I tried to build up some kind of arrange but could not find an appropriate ending, because of the lack of time. I even came up with an organsolo at the end, but cancelled that idea, because everything got worse. So, the song fades out WITHOUT a bombastic climax, I wish I could have done.

This track is quite a trip. I like how it starts pretty lofi but then the vibe of the track changes as the piano enters. This becomes quite a crazy arrangement towards the middle, a lot of things happening there, and so many cool sounds!

I tried to focus on the different things you were doing but just totally zoned out to it. Twice. Really enjoyed this.

Even without the big outro this track is still loaded with awesome processing and effects.    The ending worked quite well, but plenty of weeks left to do a part 2 though.

The bombastic climax isn't needed, although it's great you kept that as the track title.  It definitely goes some places and there are a lot of details to try to pay attention to, yet it melds together into a very cohesive whole.

Ambiance is strong here. Very unique sound palette. Really like those percussive synth elements.

Like Chrisfoo said, we can have the bombastic organ solo later on this year... Nice smooth ride.

Nice chill beat. Love it big_smile

Not too many FX!
Excellent soundscapes, as usual from you, always excellent!

So much going on and it all hangs together in hazy and mesmerising way, nice one

Really cool sounds for the drums.  It has that machine breathing sort of feel.  The piano melody with the bassline is really hypnotic too.  Sometimes a huge climax isn't needed though.  Makes the listener want more I think smile  The bassline is so good.  The haunting sound and how it repeats with purpose is what makes this track imho.  Well done!

CLICKBAIT TITLE!

lol

this was pretty cool and chill.  nicely done!

This is great, such a nice mix of sounds, everything is delicate despite all the 8bit sounds dropping in and out.  I agree with Tone Matrix, no big drop or climax needed, this is more interesting as is.

Lots going on here, makes the imagination go wild! Some nice subtle sounds happening. Love the ambience.

The piano and bass really tie this piece together.  I think this allows for the wackier synth sounds and beats to work as a whole.

This week's track is really a dialogue about the writing process. By keeping the title the same as what you intended, we can see the writing process start to finish.

Very pleasing sounds, and the ending is pleasing enough too.

Very cool! I like the bassline and the evolution of the piece. and the weird sounds that come in from time to time, it seems like an ensemble of voices all from different planets trying to communicate with each other (respectfully) and figure something out. I think I would have even preferred it if the song just faded out with the voices still chattering, but this ending also works. Nice one!

Beautifully done and beautiful sounds. What kind of guitar pedals do you have? (I went pedal crazy in 2020, bought a pedal every month for a year straight, and what's important is that I don't play nor own a guitar... Anything that you feel is particularly well-fitting for synths I'd be curious to hear about.)

I have many many pedals. Mostly fuzz and distortions for the guitars to achieve a certain guitarsound. But I have other stuff to alienate the sounds. very helpful are the moogerfoogers, CB Mood, Red Panda Particle, Proteus subdecay and all kind of EHX effectpedals. I started with a Morley flanger pedal, wich was a good device for the drummachine, organ and guitar. I still love it and use it from time to time. Thank you for listening to my tracks and the nice comments. I hope I could inspire you a little bit.
This year I feel anxious about my future as a nurse, because next week the vax mandate is definitely coming and I am affraid to loose my job and what will happen next. So I can`t sink into my music as I use to in 2020, 2018, 2016 and 2014 on weeklybeats. Somtimes I think of selling all stuff and leaving this fucking country.

I been wanting to get a Red Panda Particle -- I have their Tensor, and it's a unique looper, although Blooper really spoiled me w/ ability to undo... I'll look up Proteus Subdecay and EHX offerings, thanks for responding!

I'm sorry to hear about your future anxiety -- if I may respectfully ask, is vaccination out of the question for you? Hopefully things will work out, losing a job is only rarely a party...

In the emergency department where I work, I can clearly see, the vax dosn`t function as intended. So many covid patients that are tripple vaxed and also incredible bad side effects occur every day. I prefer to trust my own immune system. OK? But fightig in the frontline for 2 years without a harm and now beeing forced to an injection, is not fair. I will leave this job after 30 years and will enjoy to see how the healthsystem will struggle. I am not the only one...
