!!!

...was playing with fire here, 15 seconds left after I finished submitting the track big_smile Super busy week again, ended up having only 90 minutes to make something for WB. I like the main riff and the synth pad smile Sorry about the crappy drum part and solo!

great guitar!  oh man, nothing like that last minute WB panic to get the blood PUMPING.

you have become one of my new favorites here on WB!  I was listening to your Large Lizards track on repeat the other day smile

The drum part is just fine and helps me focus on the big guitar crunch!  I really want to write a track like this one of these weeks.... heart

how does one get a fat guitar sound like this?

Double tracking is the biggest part of the sound, I'm pretty sure. I used BIAS FX as an amp sim with some sort of Mesa Dual Rectifier emulation, I think (still a bit too distorted to my taste). Tape emulation on top adds a nice crunch to the sound (I used Toneboosters Reelbus on this one, bump up hysteresis and you're cooking). My guitar is a cheap 7-string (I wish it was in silver burst lol) with aftermarket pickups (DiMarzio Tone Zone 7 in the bridge and Liquifire 7 in the neck, I think I only used the bridge one on this track). Hope this helps! smile

That's some good heavy guitaring.

awesome!

Sounds amazing for 90 mins! Nice tone on those guitars.

15 seconds left? So, what'd you do with all that spare time?
