Cupcake Confession

Recently, a friend passed me a blueberry muffin, an innocent gesture, or so it seemed. Upon consumption, its saccharine levels hit me like a freight train, unraveling a deeper, more nefarious truth. There's a conspiracy afoot, a secret baked into the very fabric of our snack culture. These so-called "muffins" bear a sweetness that belies their moniker, masquerading under the guise of breakfast fare when, in reality, they share more DNA with cupcakes. This culinary deception begs the question: Are we merely bystanders in the great Muffin-Cupcake cover-up? It's high time we peel back the wrapper on this sugar-coated conspiracy. Perhaps, to quell the confusion and call a spade a spade, we should rechristen them as what they truly are: Muff Cakes.
Crafted entirely from the unique timbre of my friend's one-year-old son's voice (with the exception of drums and vocals), this track unfolds. The inaugural sound, a pure and untouched echo of his voice, introduces the piece. Captivated by his extraordinary, dolphin-like babble, it was imperative to weave this sonic gem into the fabric of the music.
