Look N2 My 45$

By Pop Tronics on April 21, 2024 8:24 am

Stacks and stacks of wax on 7 inch.
If there’s a song you know I’ll listen to it.
Vinyl so warm in a flat circle form.
33 or 45 what’s your favorite size?
Or speed, I mean, whatever they say on the DJ scene...
yeah I’m talking about speed!
Is it 78? Is the sound quality great?
Audiophile style 45s spinning all the while.
All the classics from Motown and Sun.
I’m talking Stevie Wonder and Johnny Cash,
Aretha Franklin and mother fucking Elvis!
He was a hero to most, but not the PE folks!
We got Manferd Mann, Bad Religion.
My favorite beat is a sample of chic.
Like Tom Petty I’ve been running down a dream,
but it’s more than words like that one band Extreme.

Music makes memories both fond and sad.
Music reminds of the good and the bad.
Analog or digital we all disagree. Acoustic or electric which could it be?
The sound wars of 45 vs 33. Year after year hits on the top 40!
We march and fight or make love through the night. No matter where we stand, the music is alright.
It’s more than a feeling when we hear Prince and Dylan.
And I am that ill when I’m rhyming and stealing!
Sometimes the sounds I can’t describe. It’s more than my words can define.
Joyous joy triumphant sound makes me want to cry, and I know exactly why.
So look into my 45s and see what you find.
Look into my 45s and blow your little mind.

Thanks man! I've been digging you stuff too.

Shoot, this is so good, the beat had me hooked right away and then the pleasant surprise of the great lyrics, really enjoyed this being a vinyl collector and one of those PE folks.

I also don't care about Elvis, but I thought it was a fun line. Trying to fit a bunch of music references in there. I've been collecting vinyl since I was a kid, so it's a fun topic for me. Thanks for listening.
