Royal Jam

By Podling on January 20, 2018 11:30 am

Back in studioooo. I knew I wanted to sample something this week, so I chose Werkbench iPad app. Sampled in some wooden flute notes to make the basis of the song. Then bounced/looped into Protools and added maracas and experimented with several other layers that didn't make the cut. Final step was coming up with the main vocal melody and lyrics. Peace!

I always enjoy how you use background vocals that are totally countering and yet somehow supporting your main vocals.

Simple and hypnotic. Good stereo effects keep it interesting as well.

I like the minimalist vibe again.  The flute sounds are a really nice touch!

The flute makes this whole piece for me.  Simple but effective.  I like it!
