Honey (v1)

A very sloppy take of a very simple sappy song.

This mix/performance makes my own ears bleed, but it's just a quick demo.

***

The knot unravels on its own
Straighten out and make a home
Make some sense, make out alone
Make my way for the open road

Honey so sweet, I can’t resist
Reminds me that I still exist
Honey so sweet, it makes me sick
Reminds me that I still exist

It warms my heart to see you smile
But it’s been a little while
Take my chances, take my time
Take my emotions for a ride
But please be kind

"Honey so sweet, it makes me sick"

A good line that makes the lyric more multidimensional.

For a proper recording of this demo somehow I imagine a mix like Pearl Jam's "Indifference". Reverb, a crunchy lead guitar in-between the lyrics, a Hammond in the background, minimal drums.

Thank you! That could be a great reference track
