Ionospheric Echoes

a collage of different recordings I did this week, really trying to mess around with spatialisation.

The birds are amazing! I love the sparse melodies and sounds (that flutey distorted sound) towards the end (from 4m32 to the end) it creates a gorgeous / creepy feeling. I think this might be my favortie so far, it's beautiful. Spatialization is great too. Hard panned (like 100% left/right) can also make cool effets here and there. Also from a mix perspective, it might add clarity to the mix to duck or side chain compress the reverb with some of the sounds (so that when these sounds appear, the volume of the reverb is lowered). +1 for munching aliens in the back big_smile

Oh yeah, it feel both really organic and really synthetic, love that as well!!

a very beautiful natural/electronic soundscape. an ambient trip in high fidelety. very nice.

The hills are alive. That's a lot of critters... real and synthetic. Very cool as listened to through headphones for good effect.  Like an art installation in your head!

Thank you so much man, thats some really good ideas. The distorted flutey sound at the end is from web SDR radio, I found a pretty crazy channel with really interesting distortion and it fit so well at the end of the track, really gave me goosebumps.
