this is so rough.. the patch itself I've been working on since wednesday, and I did 2 completely different sounding recordings out of it earlier in the week, they were way more distorted and bassy, but I wasnt really feeling it. Tonight I ended up re-working the routings for the switches and adding a few extra layers of logic, just barely managed to save it in time for upload, so I'm not really happy with the final sound but I'm really happy with the diversity of the logic system.
It is a live recording from VCV Rack 2, everything is completely self automating/modulating, and I'm fiddling with some things during the session like the root level clocks and lead instrument voice mapping. After recording I did really rushed "master" in ableton live.

I love how this ebbs and changes with real subtle movements, but you are somewhere new every minute.

all about the tempos

how you like VCV 2 haven't given a go yet (like so many things, though I did break-out the Pulsar-23 for this coming weeks jam)

didn't clear the image buffer

Cheers, I was reluctant to switch to vcv 2 until Alef made some custom module for me to try and I had to switch for that. Honestly its pretty much the same, maybe better, I had to turn off the "auto squeeze algorithm" and get used to shift click to remove cables, and the stoermelder pack wasnt yet in the online library for vcv so I had to grab that from their github but that was about it. I switched because generally devs are developing for vcv 2 now and it has some good user features too im getting into now, like you can select and move multiple modules and stuff. I'm using the free version and my paid modules are loading up fine.

Pulsar-23 looks really cool, I had a little play with one at a hardware show downtown montreal this summer, I really like that metal interface and how you can play it with crocodile clips or touch parts, I bet theres all sorts of weird stuff you can do with that.

Bad ass in its relentless demeanor.

This is fantastic! Amazing how it somehow never gets boring.

Cool that you were able to go back and get something closer to what you wanted. Sounds great, compelling listening, really like its constant sense of movement and evolution, with familiar shapes and rhythms to hold it together.
