I don't have a complete understanding of the boundaries between genres, but I think this qualifies as trance. I usually don't go in to music making with a genre in mind in the first place.

Project time: 1 hr, 44 min.

Sounds to me like freaking out on some Rolands — in the best way! So yeah, probably trance ;-)

Woah that cowbell/hat/percussion thing is so far inside my brain. Is it the most mono sound in existence?
I'd definitely classify as trance, an interesting mix of the melodics of the late 2000s and the high tempo and simple structure of the late 90s. Awesome!

yeah, sounds like old shcool trance to me

what’s a genre
all I hear is a good tune

I want to be at a rave dancing to this

According to the sample, that's a snare (apparently), and it might just be the most mono sound in existence.

Fantastic arps and lead lines! That crashy smash sound is fun too. I was watching the video.  What software are you using?  I've mostly used Logic so not familiar with other interfaces.
