Dirty Muffins

By Phil Harmonic on June 24, 2012 11:55 pm

Well.. First i was gonna do another song featuring Throsc, but the new version isnt ready. Then I was gonna do something to pay homage to the trololo guy who I found out died a few weeks ago.. I didnt feel like I had enough time to record vocals.. so I did this track instead wink enjoy. and only shoot dirty muffins from your cannon!

Haha, this track is awesome! I really like it

Grooooooooveey

thanks dudes

nice ride! big_smile

interesting melody... something about the track sounds kind of thin and treble-y. pretty cool breaks 60% of the way through. I like how it goes back to the main melody again after the break section. seems strange yet familiar, reminds me of something else but I can't quite put my finger on it. I guess I look for more experimental tracks, but it's definitely well realized!

george: cool, thanks for the critical comment wink I think the thinness might be due to the loop that I cut up for the beat. The bass drum isnt particularly hard and for most of the song i didnt back it up with anything. Not sure about the strange familiarness. I just write what comes to mind smile

george: here's a bassier master http://www.jackanderson.net/sounds/Dirt … aster).mp3

Mad little melody. Like how you put the four to the floor bits against the breakbeat loops.

Dirty dirty.  I like the verb on the melody.  It's like one of those cheesy 1960's instrumental ditty's but minor and somber and totally spaced out.  And funky as hell.  Great combo of sounds :-)
