Bioluminescence Rag

By Phil Harmonic on May 18, 2020 12:01 am

Last week we were talking about Ragtime music and the Mixolydian mode on the discord so I whipped up a rag that interleaves between F Mixolydian and F natural minor.. i then did nothing for the whole week and here in the last hour and a half before the deadline I made an attempt and making a more EDM version of it.  both are part of my submission. The Minor B section is inspired by the bio-luminescent 'red tide' that my pal Brooke and I witnessed a week or so ago. Enjoy smile

Well that took an interesting whiplash of a turn at the halfway point. The myxolydian ragtime part was real nice, got a little sour at the natural minor part though.

Death to Aeolian!

EDM variation is very awesome....loved the first rendition, but hot damn that second one... got my speakers way up for that

woah! electro-rag was not something I knew I was missing from my life

This is original. The rag vibe is great, the piano sound is perfectly appropriate. And then the EDM kicks in and takes us from the early 20th century to the early 21st century. Nice melodies and this bass sound! I loved the robotic sound in the beat from 1:27 and. Very cool piece.

What sorcery is this piece of music? I'm so impressed, it's like a 2 minute journey.

This is so good; love that transition into the synth part! I wish it was longer...

The ending progression is hella cool. Definitely makes me bump the volume up.
