HOPE

Not much time for music this week ... only had a week! wink

This isn't the track I intended to make, but it just sort of happened and time constraints caused it to solidify.

I started out with a recording of my electric kettle making some fun harmonic noises which I thought would be interesting, but it ended up playing a very minor role and likely could have just been removed completely, but I left it in anyway.

I also figured out how to use the monowave sample that was kicking around the discord server. It is giving the bleepy bits once the arpeggio kicks in after the break. I will try to do some more experimenting with that in future weeks too.

I finally got comfortable with the quick render function on the M8 this week. I used it to layer a few things and condense some tracks here and there. I'm not sure how best to manage the resulting sample clutter from reworked and discarded renders that are still hanging around on the SD card. If anyone has any strategies for keeping that under control, let me know!

Anyway, another week down and I can feel my comfort level increasing with the M8, so I'm pleased.

with that chord progression, you could take this song to 10 minutes ez by stacking layers of instruments to the rooftop. just keep going we'd say as we danced until you boiled our eardrums like eager little frogs.

Ha! Thank you so much! That's kinda what happened here tbh. I just added a layer each time and inverted the arpeggio up a notch ... then I felt my eardrums getting warm and noticed the time. wink

Thanks for listening!
