DREAMS

Just another spacey delay plucky beat for the week. I played the lead live on the Hydrasynth, hence the loose timing! Despite me best efforts this song all happened on Sunday afternoon, so I'm getting to flex my time constraint muscles a bit.

The progression at around 2:00 is so satisfying. This is awesome! I could NEVER tell that this was done in one day, it feels really nicely fleshed out. The higher pitched melody at 2:30 is just scrumptious!!! How are you liking the hydrasynth so far? It seems like a fantastic work station, especially if it's helping you make bangers like these. Great job, srsly.

Thanks! I'm liking the Hydrasynth quite a bit, actually. I think the thing I like the most is just that it lets me play some synth parts on an actual keyboard. However, it has a pretty wide range of sound design capabilities that I am barely even scratching the surface of. I've been mainly using some presets, because it's easy and also because I tend to get a bit lost in sound design for hours and hours if I'm not careful! But, yeah, having a versatile keyboard is very nice for composing.

All that said, my favourite part of the process each week is once I get everything sampled into the M8 and I can just site back and arrange and flesh everything out on the couch!
