Ugh

By perman00b on November 10, 2024 10:30 pm

Lots of ups and downs this week. Mostly downs. One big down, really.

Energy has been hard to come by, so focusing on the therapeutic aspect of just noodling. Hit record so I could check box 45. Not submitting this week would be a minor downer, but I really have no capacity for downers right now, minor or not. So we’re stuck with this. But we’re stuck with it together.

Midicake Arp driving the 1010 Tangerine with Hydrasynth (buzzing) and Volca Beats. Everything going through the Microcosm with me turning the FX mix up and down over time.

Just realized the drums kinda sound like a life support machine…

those drums really do sound like a life support machine. This sums up my previous week as well. Dig the change up around 4:30, its almost like, things have been a downer but there's some hints of good things to come.
Ugh is right and we're stuck in this together. Thanks for sharing this!

Ugh is right. Dark piano is dark. I love the ominous FX that swell into place like they're getting ready to put the hurt on. When the piano doubles time you veer into classical territory. The fact that the percussion seems to come in on the off beats keeps everything strangely unbalanced. You know, like many of the things that got us here. I like this one - unsettling and dark.

Really powerful mood. Hope this comment will be an up for you this week.
