Shallow Breathing

By perman00b on May 19, 2024 2:11 am

A slow, meandering meditation on the Modern Sounds Pluto. This thing is new to me, and it’s hands-down the most absorbing, playable thing I’ve owned since the Lyra-8. I do these every night before bed, and just record them straight into my phone.

This is so calming and full of movement. Everything fits together nicely! If you are doing these every night, by my calculation, you could release 3 10-song ambient albums a month to satiate the ravenous hunger of your fans.
Or one heavily curated album a month.

Thank you for those kind words, but you overestimate the amount of these things that are tolerable to listen to... smile I also have to take issue with your use of the plural form of "fan." wink

I would posit that I myself am at least three of them due to my robust masking abilities

Lovely ambience. Very spacious and evolving sounds for such a small synth!

I've been really curious about the Pluto for a while and had never heard a whole song made on it. This sounds very musical and very textured. Had no ideia it could sound like this.
Congrats and thank you for sharing!

Thank you for taking the time to listen! I’m glad it expanded your understanding of the device. smile

A very peculiar key. Feels almost asphyxiating.

My work definitely trends toward “unease” but this is the first time I’ve ever heard the adjective “asphyxiating” associated with it. (Scribbles in notebook…) 😬

Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment! I appreciate it.
