I forgot I was recording

By perman00b on May 5, 2024 5:35 am

No for real.

I started recording to try something and then walked away to take my dog out. Came back during the last few minutes, realized it was recording, flipped through some drum patterns and called it a day.

It’s also the same drum pattern from last week. I ran out of time to meaningfully modify it, and I like it well enough as is. I know it’s kind of missing the point, but it’s either post this or most likely nothing. So I’m going with something.

Wolca Beats on drums, Recovery Effects Mystic on drone, FreaqFM on bass and chimes. Freaq and Wolca ran through an Elta Music PF3, with their cutoff frequencies modulated by two out of syn LFOs courtesy of Pam’s Pro Workout.

Recorded on an iPad Pro into AUM, with some additional FX in there. The most important one being the K7D tape delay.

Oh I just remembered that the Wolca was running through the Light Pedal which I forgot to engage.

Fuck it. I’m done with it.

Really cool textures. Specially like the drone, I guess the mystic? Nice change of pace towards the end when the kickdrum kicks in (heh). FX work really well too. You're living in the future, letting the machines make music for you! big_smile Next time you should sample the dog!

I have! He sleeps all the time, so I have a lot of files of dog breathing...

Thanks for taking the time to sit through this and the kind words. You're correct, the drone is the Mystic. I love that little thing.

Despite not exerting any effort, there's a lot going on here.

I can’t argue with that.
