Aleatoric Up n Stuff

By Paul Wright on April 14, 2012 5:38 am

For this weeks aleatoric theme I structured the track around a standard chord progression but left the bass and accompaniment to be arpeggiated and played randomly. smile Each arp runs 2 octaves on 2 note intervals, allowing for any of 4 possible notes to be played when the sequencer triggers.

Really nice.  Feels like a good mix of chance and arrangement.

Man, this really works out well.  Your chance is good... go buy a lotto ticket.

funkayyy. those randomized notes give it a nice feel and really color some of those chords

Some songs have all the luck. This sounds sweet. Also, nice drums there.

This is really nice, I agree with Dwight the drums are great. People are doing some amazing things with the aleatoric business, makes me feel I missed out by not doing it.. I like the guitarzz too

Awesome

"Each arp runs 2 octaves on 2 note intervals, allowing for any of 4 possible notes to be played when the sequencer triggers." thats just badass
