Rude Ducks

By parappayo on January 27, 2026 5:40 pm

Went in for a relatively downtempo glitch perc composition this week, composed and performed on a Polyend Play+ with a DSI Mopho via MIDI. I love using a Polyend box as the brain of a track while having a small desktop synth off to one side to complement it. The perc fx are all from the Play's perform mode, but the effects on the Mopho parts are Arturia Efx Fragments and Tape-201. I recorded a few takes and spliced over some parts to try and keep it lively. If you find this enjoyable, also check out "Xynth" by Acidclank. These rude ducks may overstay their welcome; apologies in advance, I tried to keep them from being too rowdy.

I’ve known some rude ducks and this here flock is pretty dang cool in comparison. Like how this evolves while having that strady glitch beat.

Crazy percussion on this one. Nice!

Great work! Perc sounds great, and you did a great job keeping it interesting

hell yeah I love this beat. I love these sounds, so much richness and variation, this is right up my alley. Awesome

Almost an OG British dubstep vibe with the low tempo and the glassy sounds. Love the clean, direct sound -- great separation while still feeling wild.
