The Tennis Experiment (With Accompanying Video)

NOTE: This is a sucky version. Sorry. Go to the video for the real/first/kind-of-better version.

I noticed that house kicks sound like a tennis ball, so I wanted to make a house song with an actual tennis ball kick. This somehow happened. It's like....a whole different....just...

Basically a song comprised of noises compiled from around my house. Wind-chimes, doors, a buzzing amp, plants, an easter egg, water in a hot frying pan, beeps from appliances, my porch railing, a wine glass, ect.

Still a WIP, because it's not long enough and doesn't really go anywhere and needs to be balanced more.
But enjoy :3

hahahaha sorry about that tongue

Okay, this is way too fucking cool. Great song... amazing video

Frickin' badass. Very well done.

Double comment.  Love the ending sequence!

100% radical.  100%

cool!

thanks so much everyone! you guys rule!

More of this I say!  smile

Oh man, this is awesome! The video really makes it, I'm so glad you put it up!

Very cool. Reminds me of Coldcut's Natural Rhythm video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mkMWXGsnb8

@rdomain i might do a more electronic version next week with the tennis ball beat again, but then using instruments to build a traditional house song. :3

@tiasu thanks! i got an awesome new mic for my camera and i couldn't resist making a video/song simultaneously

@BDR that's sick! really tribal and trippy! i wish i was that pro with those rhythms! with mine i had no beat matching available since i used FinalCut primarily, so i just had to cut everything to match the length of the tennis ball sample.

Hell yeah! Like the short film "Music for one apartment and six drummers" without the people!

hahah love the tennis ball sound

Nice! This is really cool, and I appreciate it as a video editor too!

Out of curiosity, what did you shoot with?

a Canon Rebel T3i, DSLRs often have equal or better video capabilities to professional video cameras these days.
