Slicing Airwaves

By Parallelis on April 29, 2012 11:44 pm

Started as a little glitch thing where I took random snippets from random weeklybeats pieces, with no beat-matching or pitch modification, and put them in successive order. Eventually I found I nice groove with "Refract" by OK Ikumi, and it eventually turned into a kind of mash-up of "Refract" and "My Neighbor is a Serial Killer" (by little-scale). Check out the songs below! They're all on this site!

Songs Sampled (in no particular order):
"Refract" by OK Ikumi
"My Neighbor is a Serial Killer" by little-scale
"A Modest Country Proposal" by Roboctopus
"My Friends Drag Me Along and Too Good to Be True" by Jetkick
"Elsewhere" by Dataline
"My Life" by w0rm
"Xygloditic Wonk" by Roboctopus
"Tennis is Irrelevant" by Parallelis
"Implementation" by The Industrialization
"The Companion" by Falling for a Square
"Drag Your Feet" by Dot.AY
"Cosecant" by Cooshinator
"Along the Milky Way" by Alex Ogre
"We Were Built to Fuck" by Futurotica
"Fifing Trey" by Pwr

Haha, I don't even recognize my song sample in this. (But I do a number of others!)

This is such an awesome idea. Sounds great too!

Cool. I approve.

DUDE!  Nice approach.  Came out well

thanks guys!

@jetkick it's the vocal thing that comes in kind of midway through, at the "drop"s

Hahahaha. Totally awesome!

Though I also could not find my song in there, I'm so honored to be put into this!  You shuold do more of these if you are up to it?

Yeah I'm totally interested in that. maybe around week 22 or something. to get more/different stuff to sample.

Works so well. Serial remixer...it's inspiring, always loved chopping up other people's tracks.
