eternal renewal

By Parallelis on April 29, 2018 3:41 am

Started this completely organically and some Subsonic Eye samples slotted in perfectly so naturally I had to make everything shoegaze-y. Kind of ended up having a Kero Kero Bonito vibe I think (TOTEP-era specifially). Also I am so excited for the new Beach House record in a few weeks.

Something very OMD about it as well. Really beautiful lilting melody that is amplified when the distortion comes in.  Love the buried vocal. This will be my week's favorite track! Well done.

Thanks so much NWSPR, means a lot! Those OMD vibes are probably coming from those C78 percs, though it's def in that sunny synth pop wheelhouse!

This chord progression has some really subtly brilliant color to it!  I love it.  Nice work on this one. smile

Dreams on Dreams on Dreams.

It's gray and rainy here today but this track brought some sun in my head heart Truly beautiful!

Nice, I really dig the complex stuff going on with the arp.

Great work! I love how it changes after the first third in... also the slowing down in the end works great...

Thanks a bunch, trying to vary it up on common/familiar chord progressions to keep things interesting!

Ayy glad to hear! Wrote this on a sunny day but then it got all rainy and stormy again this week. All part of that spring cycle!

Thanks! Arp is really the building block of this one.

Thank you! Yeah didn't want to slap the samples in off the get go just to establish the bones of the track and throw a curveball there. Slowdown was another curveball and is my personal fave part of the piece, almost changed the whole track to be a slow-burn sludgy noise build after making that part haha.

[this is good]

Great stuff as always! I love the blend of those simpler waveform with the other more textured sounds.

really nice!
