Anthony Pokes Blindly at Keyboard

By PantherMountain on January 7, 2018 11:04 pm

First song of the year.  Just pressing buttons on my keyboard

I'm normally a guitar and bass sorta guy.  Not used to writing with / playing on a keyboard.  Hoping to use this as an exercise to improve my keyboard playing and composing along with synth understanding.

Next Week - Something simple, cause I have so much damn work to do.

This is an interesting take on a few genres I don't see combined too much, it's like 80s synthwave mixed with trip hop and gothic elements. I really love it when people just kind of stumble into something without trying to adhere strictly to a genre. Really cool atmosphere.

Thanks buddy.  I tend to do the same thing with my guitar driven stuff too (Instrumental Seven String Post Rock Punk Shred?  Why not).  I'm excited to dive into a whole wealth of genres this year

Very nize~ feeling the slight pitch bends and movement in the main synth.

really nice feel.  super into the drums.  i hear the Stranger and the Files, not sure about the Castle

Really cool for doing something usually outside of your wheelhouse. Getting some serious John Carpenter vibes.

As though I'm sitting through the credits of my favourite tele-movie. Just wonderful.
